Gayco Partners with Oconee Fall Line Technical College

Gayco employs approximately 25 Oconee Fall Line Technical College (aka Heart of Georgia Technical College) pharmacy technology graduates. Program director, Jack J. Shepherd, RPh, has been with the college for 10 years. “Bent Gay, owner of Gayco Healthcare, has been very supportive of the pharmacy technology program at OFTC, and when the program moved into the Louie Livingston Hall building a few years ago, Gay sponsored the Pharmacy Technology Classroom,” said Shepherd. “Many of the OFTC students do one of their clinical rotations at Gayco, and quite often they are hired upon completion of the program.” Graduates of the pharmacy technology program at OFTC are nationally board certified as pharmacy technicians thru the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, registered with the State of Georgia Board of Pharmacy, and have completed an American Society of Heath-System Pharmacists approved curriculum upon graduation.
